About Amber

​​​​Hello!

     I am Amber Koompin, LMT, CMMP. I am owner, licensed massage therapist and certified medical massage practitioner at Idaho Medical Massage. With a deep-rooted passion for helping individuals improve their quality of life, I have dedicated my life to my career in the field of Massage Therapy. 

     My journey to becoming a dedicated massage therapist began in childhood when I witnessed my dad endure numerous back surgeries, live with chronic pain, and on some days barley being able to walk. Massage helped my dad in these moments feel comfortable and get relief. It opened my eyes to the power of therapeutic touch and the incredible difference it makes in peoples lives. Seeing this eye opening experience fueled my passion in a career as a Massage Therapist.​ 

     I earned my technical certificate in Massage Therapy from Idaho State University, College of Technology in 2018. This was an excellent program requiring 800+hrs well over the state requirement. I pride myself in my education as I feel it gave me a solid foundation of human anatomy and physiology and excellent knowledge in kinesiology. Over the years I have furthered my education getting certifications in different modalities and techniques, as well as taking courses/classes that further my knowledge. Although I had always had a clinical approach to massages through the years, in 2024 I decided to get the additional education, training, and certification to become a Certified Medical Massage Practitioner. This educational journey has provided me with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver quality care.​

     Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. We enjoy traveling and making new memories together. We enjoy spending time in nature, taking our side by side up in the mountains or staying home working on house projects (they are never ending)! ​

     I am deeply committed to continuing my education and expanding my expertise so I can provide my patients with the best possible care. My goal is to deliver quality medical massage that provides my patients with efficient and effective results. Thank you for allowing me to part of your healing journey! ​​​​​​
