​​I’m Amber Koompin, LMT, CMMP, MLD-C (Vodder Technique), and the owner and sole practitioner of Idaho Medical Massage. I’m passionate about providing individualized medical massage, manual therapy, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage to patients who are looking for thoughtful, professional, and focused care.

My passion for therapeutic massage began long before I became a massage therapist. As a child, I watched my dad experience numerous back surgeries, chronic pain, and days when simply walking was difficult. I saw firsthand how massage could provide comfort, ease muscular tension, and help him feel better during difficult times. That experience opened my eyes to the value of therapeutic touch and ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in massage therapy.

I earned my Technical Certificate in Massage Therapy from Idaho State University, College of Technology in 2018. The program included more than 800 hours of education and provided me with a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and therapeutic massage.

Since becoming licensed, I have continued to expand my education through additional courses, certifications, and specialized training. Although I have always approached massage from a clinical perspective, I furthered my education in 2024 to become a Certified Medical Massage Practitioner. I have also completed specialized training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage using the Vodder Technique.

​

Today, my practice focuses on providing individualized care for patients with musculoskeletal dysfunctions, soft-tissue concerns, chronic or acute conditions, orthopedic needs, and appropriate post-operative needs. Depending on the patient's goals and clinical needs, treatment may incorporate medical massage, manual therapy, orthopedic techniques, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

I operate Idaho Medical Massage as a small, one-provider practice. This allows me to personally provide every treatment and maintain continuity throughout your care. From your initial assessment through each subsequent visit, you will work directly with me.

​

I believe quality care begins with listening. Every patient has a different history, different needs, and different goals, which is why I take the time to understand what brings you in and tailor each session accordingly.

I am committed to continuing my education and expanding my knowledge so I can provide thoughtful, effective, and appropriate care for the patients I serve.

Outside of the practice, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love traveling, making new memories, spending time in nature, taking our side-by-side into the mountains, and working on the never-ending list of projects around our home!
