Our Therapeutic Tools
Idaho Medical Massage utilizes a variety of therapeutic tools designed to enhance your relief and support your recovery, because your well-being is always our priority. These tools can be incorporated into any treatment—either at your request or when clinically appropriate—to help address pain, tension, and movement restrictions more effectively.

IASTM
Muscle Scraping
IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) is a manual therapy technique that uses specialized tools to gently break up adhesions, release tight muscles, and improve tissue mobility.

MYOFACIAL CUPPING
Myofascial cupping uses gentle suction to lift the soft tissues, helping to increase blood flow, release muscle tension, and break up fascial restrictions. This technique can reduce pain, improve mobility, and promote faster recovery by encouraging the body’s natural healing response.

RAPID RELEASE
Vibration Therapy
Rapid Release Therapy is a high-speed vibration treatment designed to quickly relax tight muscles, break up adhesions, and reduce pain. It’s a fast, effective tool used to support recovery and restore comfortable movement.

CYROTHERAPY
Hands-on cryotherapy uses controlled cold application—typically through ice cups or cold massage tools—to reduce inflammation, numb painful areas, and calm irritated tissues. The cooling effect helps decrease swelling, relieve acute discomfort, and prepare the area for safe, effective therapeutic work.

PARAFFIN THERAPY
Paraffin therapy is a warm, soothing treatment where melted paraffin wax is applied to the hands, elbows, knees, feet to deeply heat the tissues. This gentle heat increases circulation, relaxes tight muscles, reduced pain and stiffness in the joints.

VIBRATION THERAPY
A vibration plate uses gentle, controlled vibrations to stimulate your muscles, increase circulation, and enhance mobility. Standing or performing simple movements on the plate helps activate more muscle fibers, warm up the body quickly, reduce tension, and support overall recovery.

HOT STONES/ HOT TOWELS
Hot stone and heat therapy help relax tight muscles, increase circulation, and reduce pain by gently warming the soft tissues. The added heat allows deeper therapeutic work with less discomfort.
